Yep, still angry about it.

It was an idiotic decision.

Jesse Lingard was arguably one of / our best player(s) when he was here last season, he’s a regular substitute for them. Shows you the margin in quality between the two clubs.

Yet we mixed it with them and never looked in serious trouble for long spells, even had a few spells of our own. That in itself feels like an achievement based on where we were 2 years ago, feels like the days of having our bellies tickled by the big sides are over (for now at least)

The manner of the defeat was gutting, hopefully it will only spur the lads on! But the level of our performance was encouraging, we never stopped running and harassing them and this West Ham team is the best I’ve seen with the ball for a long long time.

Irons!

we'll go again, had a mare yesterday but we are a good side now playing some good stuff

Antonio back for Leeds, then Brentford at home is 100% winnable

A few of them got whacked in my block at the end. Serves them right for not being quiet. Their fans have zero class about them, but then apparently their were stewards celebrating over there yesterday as well.

The way we play, we are always going to give the ball away, we are the quickest team in transition in the league. No-one tries to score in possession as quickly as we do.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man Utd - Official Match Thread
A major weakness is giving the ball away too cheaply. One touch passing can be great but too many first-time blind flicks and headers when the ball needs to brought under control.

It really doesn't feel any better the next day. I see Moyes was putting on a brave face afterwards, but he will be raging and knows how massive a point against this lot in the last minute would have been for the whole club. It's just fucking sickening and feels like a massive kick in the nuts right now.

It was the first penalty De Gea have saved from the last 40 he has faced.

Does anyone know why every single Man Utd fan, without exception, is absolutely fucking abhorrent?

We need someone different to Antonio, so we can change our system if the one with Antonio isn't working.

But not someone who can only function in a system that the rest of the team can't provide (a la Haller).

Pretty sure that isn't beyond the wit of Moyes. But it may be beyond the pockets of the board. And probably beyond their wit, too.

At the risk of sounding like Russ Abbott, I like a game with a good atmosphere. A bit like the old Upton Park today. Not quite, but it was lively and a few spontaneous chants breaking out.

Yarmo coming being subbed on is always death knell. Run out of ideas? Sub on Yarmo and really watch the game die a death.

Rice and Zouma were my two standouts. If Dawson was in for Zouma I think there would have been quite a few goals conceded. Benrama was dead on his feet and that sub should have happened a lot earlier.

Not too down on the Noble pen. I thought it was a risk bringing him on cold to take it, but it would have been great had it gone in. Rice would have been 50/50 too.

Ronaldo should have been booked for at least one of his dives. Forgetting he's playing in England I think. Frowned on a lot more here than it is Italy. Not that Atkinson would agree it seems.

There are a few Strikers we could have signed who would be more effective than Bowen upfront and Toney is one of them.
That's the point isn't it. Don't have to be as good or exactly the same player as Antonio, not many of them around.
Stupid decision, we can't sign no one because we can't find a replica and cant be more flexible with our system!

I’ve liked what I’ve seen of Ivan Toney so far. He would be an ideal replacement for Antonio.

We are always a few players short of really competing over a season.

Agree with that, ornchurch ammer.

We've had over a year and 3 transfer windows to fix that.
